AKINA SPEED STARS
The Akina Speed Stars (秋名スピードスターズ) are a Gunma-based team led by Koichiro Iketani. Their home course is Akina Pass. They are an amateur level team, with lower skill than most other teams.
The main members of the Speed Stars are Iketani, Itsuki, and Kenji.
AKAGI RED SUNS
The Akagi Red Suns (赤城レッドサンズ) are a skilled team led by Ryosuke Takahashi. Based in Gunma, their home course is Mt Akagi.
The main members of the Red Suns are Ryosuke, Keisuke, Kenta, and Fumihiro.
Later in the series, the Red Suns are disbanded and Ryosuke creates the team Project D. Project D's purpose is to take the best drivers in the Gunma Area and travel to challenge other teams in different prefectures. While Ryosuke says the purpose of Project D is to establish a legend, it is apparent that the primary reason of Project D is to develop the skills of its drivers to a new and extraordinary level. Project D is different from the other touge racing teams as it has a highly technical regimen and a support team of technicians, who are mostly members of the Akagi RedSuns. MYOGI NIGHT KIDS
The Myogi Night Kids (妙義ナイトキッズ) is a racing team of highly skilled drivers led by Takeshi Nakazato. Their home course is Myogi, in Gunma.
The main members of the Night Kids are Takeshi and Shingo.
IMPACT BLUE
Impact Blue (インパクトブルー) is a partnership between its two members, Mako Sato and Sayuki. Their home course is Usui Pass.
